How to Reset a Router?

1 min read

Resetting the router will return it to the state it was in when you purchased it and may help fix some network problems.

Router reset is different from restarting your router. Resetting the router allows you to set it to work at optimal levels. Do this whenever you feel like you’re having trouble with your network.

When you forget your router interface password, this is the only way to access your router’s web interface again (your router interface password will return to the default password after reset.)
Important: After a router reset, your device will return to its factory state. All the configurations you set, such as the WiFi name, password, are deleted. Your internet connection drops and you have to reinstall. So don’t do it unless you really need to!
